Bur-Bon Blogspot: Diamond Rowe & Tetrarch

“I really like the guitar players that’re technically good and can write, more so than the ones that can just shred,” said Diamond from Revolver (web blog).

I find this quote very interesting because a lot of music writing for Unstable were really good songs written by Diamond; but more important, most of the guitar solos featured throughout this album were amazing. And she finds Mark Morton of Lamb of God and Slash of Guns n Roses fascinating in their playing, but more important, in their writing. Attributes any guitarist would love to have.

What shocked me the most about being in Diamond (and Josh’s) band, Tetrarch, was their ability to stick with it. They have gone through so many drummers and bass players, it’s a wonder the two of them haven’t split apart. I’m sure they both had rough days, but one look at wikipedia’s chronological band timeline will show that Ryan (the bass player) has stuck with it, followed by Rueban (the drummer). But why weren’t there four members together from day one? Obviously, Diamond and Josh own the band - but why? The band has been at it since 2007 (maybe even longer since both Diamond and Josh began jamm’n in middle school, I believe). Tyler Wesley was the original drummer, and Thomas Taylor was the original bass player.

In 2017, the band released Freak. On May 15, 2017, the band released a music video for the song “I’m Not Right”.

On February 4, 2021, Tetrarch announced that their latest album, Unstable, would be released on April 30, 2021.

“You Never Listen” was voted by Loudwire as the 23rd best metal song of 2021.

Interesting they felt this way about “You never Listen”, because I fell in love with this band after watching the song’s video. Then “Stitch Me Up” popped up and I was floored. Both, very good videos, and Loudwire (along with others) feel this way about Unstable, the album. Very good writing and awesome video footage.

“Sick of You” jam’s really well, and the guitar solo in this song, and “Negative Noise”,  are some of the best solos ever heard in Metal (and Nu-Metal).

I’ll provide you with both “You Never Listen” and “Stitch Me Up” in video, while providing the audio for “Addicted”.
